This project assisted the EPA to operate and maintain the in-use vehicles noise reporting website system. Over the past nine years, more than 310,000 report cases were received from the public reported and the police transmitted. Analysis for change of reported case amount showed the enthusiastic public reported and the police transmitted was the main cause. This year the EPA handled the plan of “not to re-modified exhaust pipe again after meeting the noise limit”, the result showed that effectively reduced to report repeatedly of cases. The EPD completed inspection vehicle noise a total of 666 sites this year, there were 2,025 motorcycles/vehicles unqualified, the percentage was 49.8%. 1,280 records of noise complaint that EPD inspected were reviewed. Completed the compiling and analysis of noise complaint cases for recent five years. Vehicle noise measure instruments and technical support for EPD was held for 17 places in this project. The traffic noise improvement projects compiled for 17 cases.
